I was unable to find the original source, but a TinEye search led me to numerous blogs citing the original image being seen on The Guardian. All I know about the glacier itself is that it can be found at around 81° N along the east coast of Greenland. via Reddit

The Elephant Foot Glacier is located on the Kronprins Christian Land peninsula. It is not connected to Greenland's main ice sheet. Rather, it's part of a network of glaciers and ice caps that hangs around the periphery of the island.
